This foundational, self-paced course delivers the essential core knowledge every equipment-based equine therapy practitioner needs—whether you're just getting started or expanding your skill set with new modalities like PEMF, laser, cryotherapy, or others.

Designed to raise the standard of care and professional responsibility in the industry, the curriculum emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of both the horse and the tools used.

Topics include ethics and professional conduct, legal considerations and scope of practice, equine anatomy and physiology, biomechanics and movement assessment, common pathologies with related contraindications, safety and biosecurity protocols, charting and documentation best practices, and proper equipment maintenance and application.

Collaboration within the horse’s care team is also highlighted, supporting informed, horse-first decision-making.

Enrollment is open year-round, allowing students to begin at any time and progress on their own schedule.

Assignments are integrated throughout the course to reinforce key concepts and are submitted for grading with individualized feedback.

One-on-one instructor support is available upon request for mentorship and guidance.
